Bean exists so meeting someone new can feel warm and low-pressure. These guidelines cover how we keep the app safe and what to do if something feels off.

Report and block, anytime

Every profile has a ⋯ menu with Report and Block. Reports are anonymous to the other person. Blocks are instant, permanent, and hide you from each other in every surface of the app.

You do not need to explain a block. If you're not sure, block.

What we act on

Harassment, threats, or hate speech. We remove and, on repeat behavior, permanently ban.

Photos that aren't of you, including AI-generated likenesses of other people. Bean only works if the faces are real.

Anyone under 18 — reported accounts are removed on discovery.

Solicitation, scams, or off-platform monetary requests.

Sharing another person's private info (address, workplace, phone) without their consent.

Our response times

Reports involving imminent harm: reviewed within 24 hours.

All other reports: reviewed within 72 hours. You'll get an in-app confirmation when we act.

Meeting in person

Meet in a public place the first time. Tell a friend where you're going.

Trust your instincts — you don't owe anyone a second date, or the rest of the first one.

If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services first, then report the account in-app so we can prevent it happening to someone else.
