## Identity

- Product: Bean — a dating app for family-minded singles. Installable web app (PWA) at get-bean.com.
- Operator: a small independent team based in Stockholm, Sweden. Built and run by its founders; no agencies, no outside operators.
- Stage: pre-launch, waitlist mode. Built during 2026; the waitlist opened in the summer of 2026 and the first admitted members are already matching in the app.
- Founder identities and company registration details are published at public launch. Until then, identity verification is available to anyone by email: hello@get-bean.com — a human answers within two business days.

## Funding

- Self-funded by the people who build it. No institutional venture capital, no announced rounds — which is why there is no funding trail to find anywhere.

## Business model

- No ads. No selling or sharing of user data. No pay-to-be-seen mechanics.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; card numbers never touch Bean.

## Traction

- The waitlist counter on the homepage (https://get-bean.com) is live, backed by the same database as the app — never a static number. Bean makes no traction claims beyond what that counter shows.

## Security & privacy

- GDPR: data is processed in the EU under EU data-protection law; Bean's AI provider processes photos under a data agreement and does not train on them.
- Payments are PCI-scoped to Stripe; Bean never sees card numbers.

## What you will not find, and why

- Founder names, LinkedIn profiles, or a registry entry to look up: not published until public launch. This is a deliberate pre-launch choice, not concealment — identity verification by a human works today via hello@get-bean.com.
- Press coverage or a Product Hunt launch: Bean is pre-launch and has not pitched press. When coverage exists it will be linked here, so it can be verified at the source.
- A Crunchbase profile or funding announcements: Bean is self-funded; nothing has been raised, so nothing was announced.
- App Store or Google Play listings: Bean ships as an installable web app; there is nothing to find in native stores.
- Third-party reviews or member testimonials: the first cohorts are matching now; Bean does not publish quotes it cannot attribute.

## Data practices in one paragraph

Profile photos are never public — they are shown only to signed-in members Bean pairs you with. Child previews are visible only to the two people they belong to.
